Our productions have already brought us to Georgia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Romania, Israel, Hungary, Poland, Burkina Faso, and even to Russia and Vietnam. Before joining 42film, Christoph Kukula was involved in the production of numerous feature films, such as “Good bye, Lenin”, “Kriegerin” and “Die Fremde”. Born in Dresden, he studied production and media management at the University of Television and Film Munich, where he graduated. He has been working for 42film as a producer, production manager and production manager since 2010 and has been a Green Consultant Film & TV (IHK) since 2022. He has also been a managing partner of the production company since 2014. Christoph is a member of the German and European Film Academy and has been Chairman of the Board of the Central German Film and Television Association since 2021.

As an author, Eike Goreczka wrote the screenplay for Mika Kaurismäki's “Honey Baby” and, as a producer and co-producer, realized feature films such as “The Corn Island”, a production that was shortlisted for the 2015 Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film, as well as “Lemonade” and “Nanouk”, which celebrated their world premiere at the 68th Berlinale. Born in Magdeburg, he worked as a camera and sound assistant before joining 42film. At the same time, he worked on his own screenplays and short films. From 2003 to 2005, he was assistant producer at SchmidtsKatze Filmkollektiv. He has been a producer at 42film since 2005 and a managing partner since 2014. Eike is a member of the European Film Academy.
Postproduction Supervisor, Project Coordination
Rebekka Schreiter has been working at 42film since 2017. As Post Production Supervisor, she is working at the feature as well as television films of 42film. Rebekka is a graduate of the DPC II Post Production Workshop 2021 and the A Post Lab Annual Workshop 2024. She studied Media Management at the University of Applied Sciences Mittweida and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). Before joining 42film, she took various positions in television and advertising production.
Project Coordination
Elisa Malter coordinates national and international productions at 42film and is responsible for submitting applications to federal institutions. She completed her double bachelor's degree in economics and media and communication sciences at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and joined 42film as a working student during her studies. In 2024, she took part in the workshop "The Art of Negotiating Agreements for Film & TV" at the Erich Pommer Institute.
Production assistance
Rosalie Runge works as a production assistant at 42film and supports the team in researching and developing new projects. Previously, she gained practical experience at various production companies in Cologne. She completed her bachelor's degree in sociology at the Technical University of Berlin. She is currently studying for a Master's degree in Multimedia and Authorship at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg
Freelance author, director, film composer, founder of 42film
Mario Schneider is a trained piano and film composer and has been working as an author, director, photographer and composer since 2000. His documentaries often tell of life in East Germany with a special feel of atmosphere and authenticity. In 2004, he founded 42film, which he handed over to Christoph Kukula and Eike Goreczka in 2014. Even though he now goes his own way, individual film projects continue to be made in collaboration with the 42film team.
