42film GmbH was founded in 2004. Based in Halle/Saale, the production company is lead by Eike Goreczka and Christoph Kukula. 42film sees itself as Inhouse-production and as plattform for young, talented filmmakers from Germany and abroad. In this framework the company developes and realizes documentaries as well as feature films.

Christoph Kukula, born in Dresden. Studies of production- and mediascience at HFF Munich. Numerous feature films in the field of production, e.g. „Good Bye, Lenin“, „Combat Girls“ and „When we leave“. Since 2010 production manager, line producer and producer for 42film, since 2014 managing partner of the company.

Eike Goreczka, born in Magdeburg. Worked as Camera- and Sound assistant. Assistant Producer for SchmidtzKatze Filmkollektiv. Screenwriter e.g. for Mika Kaurismäki’s „Honey Baby“. Scholar of Landeskulturstiftung Sachsen Anhalt and of Land Sachsen Anhalt. Since 2005 producer for 42film, since 2014 managing partner of the company.
 


Mario Schneider, Freelance Writer, Director and Film Composer
Founder of 42film in 2004 in Halle/Saale. Director and Producer of Award-winning documentaries such as the MansFeld-Trilogy.

Arne Kohlweyer, Head of Development
Studied film directing  at FAMU in Prague. Afterwards he worked as coordinator of Berlinale Talents Script Station as well as Freelance Screenwriter and Director.

Rebekka Schreiter, Production Coordinator
studied Media Management and graduated with the Bachelor of Arts. Since 2017 she is part of the 42film team.

Claudia Hoffmann, Project Coordinator
studied Media- and Communication Sciences (M.A.) at Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg. Since 2018 she is part of the 42film team.
